Nigerian actor and skit maker Abdulgafar Abiola, popularly known as Cute Abiola, has shared his inspiring story of balancing his creative career with his time in the Nigerian Navy.
In a recent interview on HipTV, Abiola revealed that his experience in the navy was “the most critical part of his life,” where he worked six days a week and still managed to produce and release content.
“I’ve done a lot of things that were more tough than my current situation. I used to be in the Nigerian navy,” he said.
“That time was the most critical part of my life, and I was still able to achieve shooting content and being in the navy. That was very, very hard.

Despite the demanding schedule, Abiola revealed that he remained committed to his goals, driven by the need to meet revenue targets. He would often post content two to three times a week, showcasing his dedication to his craft.
Abiola’s background includes attending the Nigerian Navy training school, where he honed his discipline and work ethic. However, he eventually left the navy in November 2022 to pursue his passion for comedy full-time. His exit was approved by the Chief of Naval Staff, allowing him to focus on his entertainment career without constraints.
Abiola expressed gratitude for the approval, which enabled him to pursue his dreams without limitations. Today, he is a rising star in the entertainment industry, known for his creative skits and engaging content.
