The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has announced plans to impose sanctions on social media personality VDM (VeryDarkMan) and comedian Mr Jollof following a physical altercation on an Asaba-Lagos flight.
The fight, which broke out on Monday, was reportedly sparked by an ongoing online feud between the two men. Passengers and crew intervened to stop the fight, which was captured on video. New video circulating online now shows the two men in the custody of the Delta state police command.

NCAA through it Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection on X, described the incident as “unacceptable behaviour” that endangered passengers and crew. “There is no tolerance for unruly behaviour aboard an aircraft. Both individuals will face the full strength of the law,” the spokesperson tweeted.
“It is even more shameful when one considers both of them partners in educating their millions of followers to avoid unruly behavior,” he added highlighting the two individuals responsiblity to their fans.
The authority is awaiting a report from the airline and vows to take action, stating that there is “no tolerance for unruly behaviour aboard an aircraft.”
