Netizens have taken to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter to slam a user who fabricated a false rumour, alleging the death of beloved Nollywood legend, Pete Edochie
The user had claimed that the eldest son of the actor had shared the news on his Instagram page, but contrary to this claim, all checks on the actor’s son’ page shows no news as such was posted.

Netizens on the platform have however taken it upon themselves to debunk the false report, urging people not to by into the news.
As at time of report, no news have been shared by the Edochies either address the said news or debunk the news.
However, this is not the first time a false death rumor has been passed online about the icon as it shows it started in 2020, 2023, 2024, and now 2026.
