Nicki Minaj Hypes Trump’s ‘Gold Card’ as Fast-Track to American Residency

American rapper Nicki Minaj and US President Donald Trump

Nicki Minaj, the American rapper, is in the news again after showing off a Trump “Gold Card” and saying it will help her get U.S. residency and citizenship faster.

A few hours after attending a Trump-hosted summit to promote “Trump Accounts,” a government investment plan for children, the Trinidad-born artist posted a photo on X of the gold card. The card shows President Donald Trump’s face, a bald eagle, and the Statue of Liberty.

Minaj, who has lived in the U.S. since childhood and held legal permanent resident status while paying substantial taxes, previously noted she was not yet a citizen. Her endorsement came amid vocal support for Trump at the event, where she called herself his “number one fan” and said criticism only fueled her backing while slamming critics that the golden card was a PR.
