Nigerian content creator, Deka George has been thrown into mourning following the death of her sister, Amaka, in what she described as a ”preventable tragedy.”
The content creator, via her Instagram page, shared an emotional post on Thursday expressing deep regret and heartbreak.
She revealed that she was unable to respond to her sister’s calls because she was attending to two separate court cases in Lagos at the time.
According to her, she had been “dragged from the Magistrate Court to the Federal High Court,” which caused her to miss the calls that she now believes may have made a difference.
“Life is so fickle. My sister would have been alive today if I didn’t have two court cases in Lagos. You called but I missed your call because I was busy fighting for my life and freedom in Lagos. So, I missed the opportunity to save you. I am sorry Sister Amaka,” she wrote.
The grieving creator went on to allege that a General Hospital in Abuja lacked oxygen at the time her sister needed urgent medical attention.
“A whole General Hospital didn’t have oxygen. Nigeria failed you. I failed you,” she added.
