
Filmmaker Ajemba Stanley has been arrested for participating in the protests by some groups demanding the release of the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
The filmmaker announced the development in a post shared on Instagram handle on Monday.
He disclosed that the police arrested him along others persons participating in the protest.

According to him, they are currently being held at Utako Police Command.

He wrote: “I just got arrested now by some group of Nigeria police at Utako by Chida event Centre fir the free Nnamdi Kanu protest. All we need is freedom of Nnamdi Kanu.”
Meanwhile anti riot policemen on Monday shot tear gas canisters at free Nnamdi Kanu protesters at the Federal Ministry of Finance as they gathered to storm force headquarters.
According to reports, the protest commenced on Monday morning, some roads linking strategic government infrastructure like the Dutse road linking Bwari was barricaded as early as 5a.m.
Lugbe, Mararaba, Kubwa have been blocked as this has led to traffic gridlock across all the express roads in the FCT.
