Popular Nigerian social media influencer Cynthia Okeke, better known as Cici, has hinted that Nigerians, especially business owners, may ruin the fun and excitement of Detty December through extortion and greed.
In a rant on her social media page, the voluptuous content creator stated that most business owners view clients and guests as cash cows rather than providing quality services to prospective customers. She mentioned in the video that business owners should look beyond squeezing exorbitant fees from their clients and instead, look for ways to make their product more affordable.

Cynthia Okeke Tackles House Owners
In the opening part of the video, Cynthia Okeke slammed house owners and agents. She stated that they put hefty prices on their apartments. Speaking in the video, Cici said, “This is the last fun Detty December we will have, and you guys (business owners) are ruining it.”
“It’s okay to add money; it is your property. However, how are you guys charging N700k for two nights at an apartment?” she added. Cici went further to state that homeowners who lease out their apartments have a poor business strategy because they are rendering poor services to their prospective clients without giving them something worthwhile to look out for due to the exorbitant charges.
“Business owners are not giving discount sales, because they only want to make money. As a matter of fact, they are not as empathetic as their international counterparts, such as Dubai, South Africa,” she added.

Cici went further to add that the Detty December excitement is what sells out Nigeria to the world; therefore, business owners should look for means to make hardworking Nigerians enjoy their labour throughout the year, and relax during the festive season.
She dragged the house agents and business owners for failing to see the opportunities that the Detty December concept presents to Nigeria and other parts of Africa, such as Ghana and Cameroon.
Cici went on to mention that business owners are making it boring due to their exorbitant charges and do well to make their product more affordable for not only citizens of Nigeria, but also those who are visiting the country for the first time.
