
Prominent Nollywood filmmaker and social commentator General Snow has slammed Nigeria’s emergency response failures following the tragic road accident that injured British-Nigerian heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua and claimed the lives of two of his close associates.
The filmmaker while expressing disappointment shared on his X page saying: “No matter how rich you are individually as a Nigerian, we are all collectively poor. Very poor. You only realize this during emergencies. A fire breaks out and there is no fire service. An accident happens and there is no first aid, no ambulance, no system.”
“Today, a world boxing champion like Anthony Joshua was involved in a car accident and not a single ambulance showed up. Someone that rich and globally known. People only gathered around him like it was a carnival. No safety measures. No trained response. Just chaos. An accident that claimed two lives o!”

Giving another gory incident of a governor aide who was stabbed at a political event, General Snow recounted how the stabbed aide was carried on shoulders with no ambulance on standby and noted that if this could happen to important persons, what will be the faith of a poor citizen.



He went on saying: “In Nigeria, money does not save you in a crisis. Influence does not protect you. When it matters most, everyone is poor. To the rich and influential Nigerian who thinks demanding a better country is for the poor masses, one day you will understand. In an emergency, you are just as poor as the rest of us.”
As reported by eelive.ng, the accident took place around 11:00 a.m. on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway near Makun, Ogun State, when the Lexus SUV carrying Joshua collided with a stationary truck. According to reports, Joshua and his driver are receiving treatment at the e hospital.

Viral videos from the scene showed chaotic crowds of bystanders, local residents, and security personnel rushing to pull Joshua from the wreckage, with no professional ambulance immediately visible in many clips.
