
Nigerian Fuji singer, Shanko Rasheed Atanda has taken to social media to announce the passing of his first son Jamaldeen Atanda.
The singer, via his Instagram page, on Friday shared that “no parent will pray to lose a child,” while praying for the eternal rest of his son’s soul.
The Fuji singer, however, did not reveal the date and cause of Jamaldeen’s death.
“So Sad no parent pray to lose a child in lifetime but Alhamdulilahi Jamaldeen Emrs Atanda JNR rest well my champ I will surely tell you all about it when I see you again. Omo Ola sun reeee,” he wrote.

The post has since been flooded with condolences from friends, colleagues, and fans within the entertainment industry, all offering comfort to the grieving father.
The loss comes just months after Shanko publicly celebrated Jamaldeen’s 12th birthday in December.
At the time, he shared a touching tribute to his son, describing him as an amazing child who “changed my life”.

“Happy Birthday to my amazing first son! !You changed my life the moment you arrived and continue to make me proud every single day. I love the young man you’re becoming,” he wrote.
“Watching you grow has been my greatest joy. Keep shining, keep dreaming, and keep being the incredible person you are.
“So proud of you” May your year be filled with laughter, growth, and endless blessings I love you forever Son.”
