
Uriel Oputa, the former Big Brother Naija housemate has expressed sadness over the death of her uncle, veteran Nollywood actor, Chief Fabian Adibe.
The late actor passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, August 20, at about 2:30 am. He was 82 years old.
Uriel, who is the niece of the late actor, took to her Instagram story to share her grief. In her post, she hinted at the issue of “fake love” that often surrounds the death of celebrities. She explained that she would not say much out of respect for the family but noted that her uncle’s passing was very personal to her.

According to Uriel, very few people cared for the late actor while he was alive. She mentioned that nobody checked up on him until his death. However, she appreciated some close friends who stood by him during his lifetime.
Her post read, “I’m just waiting for the fake love to start. I can’t say much out of respect, but this one here is very personal to me. I will boldly say this: Nobody checked on my uncle. To my bestie Chi and her sister NK, God bless you both for what you did for Popsi. Rest on, sir.”

Chief Fabian Adibe was a respected figure in Nollywood, known for his fatherly roles in films and television series during the 1990s and early 2000s. His career spanned several decades, and he remained a popular face on screen until his later years.
