Ugezu Ugeze, a veteran Nollywood actor has taken to social media to share video of himself performing a ritual for relatives scattered around the globe.
In the video, the actor could be seen holding what appears to be a plate of food meant for the gods, alongside with spilled blood and other traditional items.
According to the deeply traditional actor, the blood is that of a ram as prayers were done for umu nwadiana, the children born to all married daughters of the community.
He also added that the ritual is 100 percent traditional, and prayers and nothing to do with charms and fetish.
Captioning the video, he wrote: “Odi na Ofo.Gathered at the Family Obi to pray for Umu Nwadiani (Children of our daughters who are married and living with their husbands). These are children scattered all over the world.
“When we root them into ofo umunna, with sacrifice of a ram, the gods of our fathers will ensure that they will never be victims of all the manipulations and wickedness of the new millennium of evil and high handedness.
“Ofo solu ibe ya lee.Iseee!This right here is our tradition 100%. All prayers, no juju and no charms.”
