Yoruba Nollywood actress, Habibat Jinad, has opened up about her journey to finding love with her husband. The actress took to her Instagram page to share old photos of herself and her husband while narrating how their relationship began.

In the post, Jinad explained that her husband first noticed her many years ago. According to her, he showed strong interest in her from the very beginning, even though she initially found his attention overwhelming. She recalled questioning why he would not give her space each time they met.

The actress disclosed that her husband went as far as hiring a photographer to capture some pictures of her. After taking the photos, he personally sent them to her and later asked her out. Jinad said she did not rush into a relationship with him. Instead, she carefully studied his character before finally accepting his proposal.

Sharing details of their early conversations, the Nollywood star revealed that her husband made a bold joke about their future together. She said he predicted that she would one day marry him and also bear his children. Jinad noted that while she dismissed the marriage claim at the time, the part about having children felt unrealistic because she had been battling fertility struggles.

Posting the old pictures on Instagram, Jinad wrote:

Looking at this picture, memories flood my mind of when Daddy Okiki first spotted me. I thought, ‘Who’s this guy, and why won’t he give me space?’ He’d follow me everywhere until it became obvious to everyone. He even hired a photographer to take these pictures and sent them to me. As you can see, the big smile on his face.

“After he asked me out, I thoroughly vetted him before agreeing. He jokingly predicted, ‘I’ll marry you, and you’ll bear my children.’ I didn’t take the marriage part seriously, but the baby part seemed laughable given my struggles with conceiving. To be continued.”
