Popular Nollywood actress, Joke Silva, has taken to social media to announce the death of her elder brother, John Olabiyi Silva.
The actress and wife to Olu Jacobs, shared the sad news on her Instagram page on September 4th, where she announced that her elder brother, John Olabiyi Silva, has passed away at aged 73 on August 29th, 2025.
Joke Silva described her elder brother as easy-going and prayed that his soul rest in peace.

She wrote..“With acceptance of Gods Sovreign will …we announce the call to Glory of my dear brother John Olabiyi Silva …long John Silva…Bros B…Uncle B….my easy go lucky brother. Rest in peace. January 22nd 1953-August 29th 2025.”
