Former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has graced a private screening of the upcoming Nollywood cultural blockbuster Ìwé Àlá: An Ojude Oba Story on Monday.

The film, directed by Adeoluwa Owu and produced by Come On Naija, the team behind the acclaimed Afamefuna, celebrates Yoruba heritage through the lens of the vibrant Ojude Oba festival.

It tells the compelling story of a shrewd master tailor facing a crisis of reputation when his staff abandons him with unfinished garments ahead of the grand Ijebu celebration, forcing him to reconcile with his estranged family.

Actress and producer Mercy Aigbe, who stars alongside Owobo Ogunde, Farooq Oreagba (“Ojude Oba King of Steeze”), Eniola Ajao, and Dele Odule, hosted the exclusive event. Images and videos from the screening show Obasanjo arriving with Aigbe and other guests, underscoring the film’s cultural significance.
