A heated exchange erupted on X between rapper Odumodublvck and critic Daniel Regha following the debunked rape claim by TikToker Mirabel (Abigail Nsuka).

Odumodublvck commented that many people were quick to hope the accuser was lying even when the alleged rapist remained faceless. “THIS PERSON DID NOT HAVE A FACE AND PEOPLE WERE HOPING THAT THE GIRL WAS LYING… THIS IS WHAT DISCOURAGES THE ACTUAL VICTIMS FROM COMING OUT. IF A SOCIETY IS READY TO DEFEND A FACELESS PERSON THEN WE ARE IN SOUP.”
Daniel Regha swiftly criticised the take, replying that the reasoning was illogical and urging a focus on condemning wrongdoing: “Even if you’re not a good songwriter, try being logical… Condemn what is wrong.”
Odumodublvck responded in a follow-up thread, clarifying he already condemned Mirabel’s lie but wanted to address the premature doubt: “EVEN BEFORE DISCREPANCIES WERE NOTICED SOME PEOPLE HAD ALREADY STARTED INSINUATING THAT SHE WAS LYING… IT EXPOSES YOUR REAL HEARTS.”
On February 15, 2026, Mirabel posted a viral video alleging she was raped by an intruder in her Ogun State apartment. Public sympathy poured in until activist VeryDarkMan released her recorded confession on February 19, admitting the story was fabricated due to mental health struggles, including depression and panic attacks. She has since been arrested by police for raising a false alarm.
