
Nigerian music stars Odumodublvck and Wizkid have taken home the award for Best Afro-Rap Fusion at the 2025 edition of the East African Entertainment Awards (EAEA), marking a major milestone for both artists.

The award-winning track is the first from Odumodublvck’s 2025 album Industry Machine to receive formal recognition, solidifying the project’s impact across the continent.
The album, praised for its unique sound and lyrical depth, has also been featured on Spotify’s Best of Global Hip Hop 2025 Editors’ Picks, ranking at No. 9 and standing as the only African project on the list alongside global acts like Drake.

Wizkid, who collaborated on the track, also picked up the award for Best Continental Male Songwriter (Africa) a title that adds to his impressive catalogue of accolades. According to a fan-run account, this brings his total award count to over 176.
