Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has finally received the full package of prizes tied to his victory in the prestigious Next Rated category at the 17th Headies Awards.
On April 27, 2025, the artist, born Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, clinched the highly desired Next Rated award, beating out strong competition from nominees like Shallipopi, Qing Madi, Ayo Maff, and Nasboi.
The award which was presented to the rapper by music superstar Davido, recognises the most promising emerging talent in the Nigerian music scene and is widely regarded as one of the biggest honors at The Headies.
After months of anticipation, Odumodublvck took to social media on January 8, 2026 to express his gratitude to the Headies organizers. He has now officially collected an electric vehicle (EV) car, a house, a plot of land, and a 5-year US visa.
Since its inception in 2006, The Headies has awarded over 20 cars to winners of the prestigious Next Rated category and through its talent discovery platform, Mic Check. This legacy includes iconic artists who received these prizes and went on to achieve global stardom, such as Wande Coal, Omawumi, Wizkid, Davido, Teni, Mayorkun, Mr. Eazi, Rema, BNXN, Asake, and many more.
