A young Nigerian man has sparked heated debates online among netizens after advising parents to stop sending their daughters to school if they can’t afford the fees.
Instead, he suggested that parents should train their daughters in a trade to ensure they have a stable future.
The man’s comments were made in a viral video, where he expressed concern that some parents force their children into tertiary institutions without providing them with financial support, leading them to look for other means to survive. He lamented that this has pushed many girls into becoming victims of yahoo boys, ritualists, and other dangerous paths.
“Nigerian parents, if you guys know that you can not afford the school fees of your female children, abeg make una no dey send female children to school,” he said.
