Nollywood actor and comedian Okechukwu Onyegbule popularly known as Okey Bakassi is celebrating 24 years of love and marriage with his wife, Zizi.
Taking to Instagram, the comedian shared a heartfelt message recounting their journey since tying the knot in Port Harcourt, the city where they first met.
In her words: “On this day 24 years ago, we went before God, family, and friends to exchange marital vows in Port Harcourt, the city we first met. We were young, excited, and oblivious to the enormity of the challenges ahead… The bills piled, Covid-19 happened… too many challenges. But with the blessings oft hree kids, the grace of God, the love of family, and the support of friends, success prevailed.”

Born Okechukwu Anthony Onyegbule, Okey Bakassi launched his career in 1995 when he participated in Opa Williams’ ‘Nite of a Thousand Laughs’.
Over the years, he has starred in several notable films, including ‘Final Decision’ (1996) and ‘All for Winnie’ (1998).
His career reached new heights in 2014 when he won the Best Actor in a Leading Role award at the Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards.
In addition to his acting and comedy career, Bakassi hosts two shows: ‘It’s Okay with Okey’ on Lagos Talks 91.3FM, a daily comedy program featuring co-hosts Accapella and Senator Comedian, and ‘The Other News’ on Channels TV.
Okey has been married to Ezinne nearly two decades and together they have three children — two girls and a boy.
