Nigerian recording artiste Olamide Adedeji, better known as Olamide, spoke about the inspiration behind his eleventh studio album and how he came up with its title.
An eponymous music project, Olamide explained to Ada Ohh, the host of the Ada’s Room podcast on YouTube, that he wanted the new album to be about him and his ideologies.
The host, Ada Ohh, asked, “Why is your eleventh studio album self-titled?”

Olamide responded, “The music title suits the theme of the music project.”
The rapper added, “All my life, I’ve been trying to be there for others; however, this new album is all about me.”
Speaking further, Olamide said, “I wanted to show growth and dish out exotic music. Also, I wanted to create a timeless sound.”

Olamide’s eleventh studio album was released in June 2025. It’s a follow-up to his 2024 album, ikigai.
Some notable artists on the album include American music producer and recording artist Dr. Dre. Other notable musicians on the album are Wizkid, Asake, and Seyi Vibez, among several others.

Olamide is regarded as one of the most influential artistes in Nigeria and Africa, and has been crucial to the creative and commercial success of several Afrobeats music stars. He records in Yoruba and English.
