
Olamide is renowned as one of the most influential recording musicians in contemporary Afrobeats history. The founder of Yahoo Boy No Laptop (YBNL), a record label that has carved out and helped in propelling the careers of several successful musicians in the Nigerian music industry.
While Olamide built a mainstream legacy for himself in the early 2010s by releasing several hits, he surreptitiously built his love life with his partner, Adebukunmi Adedeji, behind the scenes.

eelive.ng gathered that Olamide and Adebukunmi began dating around 2010, at the time, the ‘Eni duro’ rapper was becoming a household name across Nigeria.
It wasn’t until the mid-2011s that audiences began to recognize that Olamide was in a relationship.
While several pundits have argued that Olamide isn’t officially married to his partner, it is important to note that Adebukunmi has claimed his singer’s surname on all her social media accounts, especially Instagram. Her account reads thus, ‘Adebukunmi O Adedeji’.

In January 2014, they welcomed their first son, Batifeori Maximiliano Adedeji, at St. Ives Hospital in Ikeja. Following the arrival of his son, Olamide often shared affectionate messages about becoming a father, calling it “another phase” of their lives.
At the time of this publication, the couple has two kids together.

On 8 March 2018—coinciding with her birthday and International Women’s Day—Olamide proposed via Snapchat, calling her “my senior wife” and mentioning, “Oya we have a wedding to plan”. Although there’s been no large publicized wedding, Adebukunmi now uses Olamide’s surname and features frequently in his life, leading many to believe a formal union may have quietly taken place.
In a previous interview, Olamide spoke openly about his longtime relationship with Adebukunmi, saying they’d been “very cool from way back… together for almost 5 years,” but acknowledged marriage wasn’t guaranteed:
“But the question of marrying her… that one is very hard to answer because Olamide is not God. Only God knows tomorrow.”
In another interview, Olamide reiterated that, despite being with Adebukunmi for years and calling her his “baby mama,” he was uncertain about marriage:
“I may never get married to my baby mama and long-time girlfriend, Adebukunmi Suleiman.”
However, Adebukunmi shared a heartfelt message on Instagram for Father’s Day, calling Olamide “amazing” and thanking him, showing warmth and mutual love in public:
“Happy Father’s Day, my love, thanks for being an amazing dad, we love you so much.”
This reflects the deep respect and romance the couple has for each other. Although they have managed to keep it away from the prying eyes of the public.
Last week, the couple were all lovey-dovey at the listening party of the singer’s eponymous album, and it was one of the most exciting images that surfaced on social media.
