Tijani Onwenu, the son of legendary singer and actress Onyeka Onwenu, paid a heartfelt tribute to his mother on the first anniversary of her passing.
On July 30, 2024, Onyeka Onwenu, affectionately known as the “Elegant Stallion,” left an indelible mark on Nigeria’s entertainment industry with her sudden death at 72. Tijani’s took to Instagram and posted, “A year ago, today. RIP Mom. July 30, 2024.” His remembrance post sparked an outpouring of emotions from fans and fellow Nigerians, who remembered her contributions to music, film, and social causes.

Recall that Onwenu passed away after collapsing while performing at Stella Okoli’s 80th birthday celebration.
