Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi and his wife Olori Ashley Folasade on Wednesday celebrated their son, Prince Ademakinwa, on his first birthday.
The monarch in an Instagram post described the child as a blessing to him and the throne of Oduduwa.
He wrote, “My beloved son, Omooba Ademakinwa. You are a true blessing to me and to the sacred throne of Oduduwa. As you continue to grow in wisdom, strength and grace, always remember the divine heritage you carry as a prince of Ile-Ife.
“As you celebrate your birthday, may your path be guided by the values of honor, humility, and service to humanity. I am proud to see you walking in the light of Olodumare as you are one today! With fatherly love and royal blessings.”
On her part, Olori Folasade shared a video compilation from her labour, noting how God made the journey from the first scan to her son’s arrival a smooth and beautiful.
She wrote, “Happy 1st Birthday to Our beloved SONshine, Prince ADEMAKINWA. Olodumare made your arrival a smooth and beautiful journey from the first scan to the moment I carried you in my arms. You are a testimony of Olodumare MOROJUREOLODUMARE, and I am forever grateful.
“To my darling husband, @ooniadimulaife Olori Alade gbogbo, thank you for your love and support throughout my pregnancy and beyond even at the theatre you were there on the phone. You are a caring father and a devoted husband, and we are truly blessed to have a great father and amazing husband, whose love and guidance enrich our family.
“Our son, may you continue to grow in wisdom, strength, and grace, and may your life shine brighter with each passing year. You are deeply loved.”
Prince Ademakinwa was born on September 3 at Princess Royal Hospital, London, United Kingdom.
