English rock musician Ozzy Osbourne has passed away at the age of 76.
On July 22, 2025, Ozzy Osbourne who is the legendary frontman of Black Sabbath and solo icon died at the age of 76.
Making the announcement via his Instagram page, his management wrote, “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.
He was with his family and surrounded by love.
We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.

He had just delivered a monumental final performance with Black Sabbath on July 5, 2025, at Villa Park in Birmingham. That reunion—his first with the original lineup since 2005—served as a farewell concert for both him and the band.
Osbourne had been managing ongoing health issues in recent years, notably Parkinson’s disease (first announced publicly in 2020) and a spinal injury. Still, he continued to perform, even sitting on a throne during parts of his last show due to mobility limits.
John Michael “Ozzy” Osbourne was an English singer, songwriter, and media personality. He rose to prominence during the 1970s as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath, during which period he adopted the nickname “Prince of Darkness”.
