Nigerian singer Mr P, one-half of the famous music duo P-Square, has shared a reflective message on forgiveness and personal boundaries in response to an X user, who raised concerns about reconciliation.

Taking to his X page, the artiste responded to an X user named Toni Tonne, who reminded him to forgive his brother.

Good to forgive because it is the best thing, but why not apply it to your family instead of heading to court to wash your dirty linen out there.

“Though it is never too late, go now and meet your brother, tell him you have forgiven him“, he wrote.

However, Mr P responded and emphasised that forgiveness does not automatically restore access to one’s life.

He went to say that, while it is important to forgive those who apologise and seek redemption, maintaining boundaries remains equally crucial.

“Because he apologised and asked for forgiveness. Boundaries matter. Forgiveness doesn’t mean access. Choose yourself. Protect your peace,” he wrote.

Mr P went further to encourage self-worth and emotional growth, stating that family is not always defined strictly by blood ties.

“Family isn’t always blood, and that’s okay. Be proud of who you’re becoming. Guard your heart. Keep growing. You can forgive and still love from a distance,” he added.
