
The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that TikTok influencer Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, is safe and sound at home despite reports of his alleged abduction during a livestream on Wednesday night.

According to the command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, preliminary investigations showed that Peller was unharmed and all his belongings, including his vehicle and phones, were intact. The police are still investigating the incident to determine whether it was a genuine kidnapping, a staged abduction, or a false alarm.

“We are investigating the allegation, but we can confirm that the person in question, Habeeb, popularly known as Peller, is at home safe and sound.”
“His vehicle is also intact, all his phones and properties, nothing was missing,”
Peller, 20, was reportedly taken away by armed men while livestreaming on TikTok on his way home.
In the widely shared footage, he appeared to mistake the men for security operatives before being whisked away. The social media sensation, who gained fame in 2021 with his short-form videos and live-streaming on TikTok, has expanded his brand to livestreaming shows and events on Twitch.
