Veteran Nigerian actress Halima Abubakar has reignited public concern with a new video circulating widely on social media, in which she expressed tiredness from repeatedly appealing for financial support for Surgery.
In the emotionally charged clip, shared on X, Abubakar states clearly: “I am tired of begging. Please, I need money for my brain and spleen surgery.”

Abubakar has been open about her medical condition since late 2025, revealing she has a brain tumor that has led to severe symptoms, including chronic insomnia and declining physical look. She has also talked about complications involving her spleen, potentially requiring surgical intervention.
During a TikTok live session the actress estimated the combined costs for brain surgery, follow-up care, medications, accommodation, and daily needs at between ₦15 million and ₦25 million.
Abubakar had previously shared that she has exhausted personal resources, including funds used to cover her mother’s hernia operation. Recent months have brought additional hardships with eviction from her home following a rent dispute, leaving her without stable accommodation.
