Lagos-based skit maker cum actor Ganiyu Morufu, popularly known as Ijoba Lande has taken to social media to cry out after he was physically assaulted by operatives of the State Area ‘J’ Division.
According to the skitmaker via a video posted on Facebook on Friday, the officers took his phone and his brother’s money.
He also revealed that he was beaten and inflicted with injuries around his eyes, while people around him poured water on his face. The footage also shows him inside what appeared to be a police station, trying to make a report.

In the message that came with the video, Lande wrote:
“I came back from the UK 6 days ago and was attacked and beaten by police in Nigeria. They collected my iPhone 16 Pro Max and my brother’s $1,200. I nearly lost my life.”
Although the skitmaker did not disclose details on where or how the alleged assault began, he, however, said it happened just days after he returned to Nigeria from the United Kingdom.
