
The Lagos State Police Command has disclosed that it is investigating claims that some police officers assaulted popular actor and content creator Ijoba Lande.
Recall, Lande, who recently returned to Nigeria from the United Kingdom, took to social media to call out the officers for physically assaulting him and his friend and seizing his iPhone 16 Pro Max and $1,200, said to belong to his brother.

In a viral video, Lande looked visibly injured, with blood on his face and shirt as he described what happened. His friends, who were with him, encouraged him to report the incident.

Reacting, SP Abimbola Adebisi, stated on Friday via 𝕏 (formerly Twitter) that the officers involved had been identified and brought in for questioning.
Adebisi said, “The officers involved have been identified and brought forward to the Command for investigation.

“At the moment, both the officer actor, and his friend are giving their statements. Further developments will be communicated accordingly.”
She did not share more details about when or how the incident happened, but assured the public that the case is being taken seriously.
