A well-known Ebonyi State-based MC, Nwota Emeka Walter, has assured the public of his safety after escaping abduction on Wednesday evening.
According to Walter via his Facebook, while he escaped, a family member was kidnapped in Makurdi, Benue State, and killed after he tried to escape.
He wrote, “Thank you all for your concern. I am safe. My family member was kidnapped this evening at Makurdi, Benue State; one of them tried to run/escape, and he was killed.”
Walter’s public reassurance comes in the wake of fresh outrage following the reported abduction of students and school staff in the Oriire LGA of Oyo State, where a teacher was beheaded during the attack.
