Security sources revealed that Amandi was allegedly recruited by the plotters to serve as an advocate. His assignment reportedly involved crafting and disseminating narratives to support the planned takeover, which included assassinations of key figures such as President Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas.

This alleged scheme which was uncovered last year, was aimed at unlawfully removing the current administration through force.

Civilians linked to the plot, including Amandi, are expected to stand trial in regular civil courts as investigation is still ongoing by the Department of State Services. Details of the actor’s specific actions remain limited, but authorities describe his recruitment as part of preparations for a destabilizing operation.
