
Controversial Nollywood producer, Stanley Ontop has been arrested.
According to reports, the movie maker was arrested and detained in the State Criminal Investigation Department in Delta state on Tuesday, December 9.
Confirming this development, the spokesperson of the command, SP Bright Edafe, said Stanley was arrested following a petition from a female and is still in custody.

Unconfirmed reports also claim actress Queeneth Hilbeth wrote a petition against him to the police following their protracted online battle. The content of the petition against Stanley is yet to be disclosed.

The filmmaker’s arrest comes weeks after he was detained for participating in the protests by some groups demanding the release of the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
The filmmaker had announced the development in a post shared on Instagram handle, disclosing that the police arrested him along others persons participating in the protest.

According to him, they are currently being held at Utako Police Command.
He wrote: “I just got arrested now by some group of Nigeria police at Utako by Chida event Centre fir the free Nnamdi Kanu protest. All we need is freedom of Nnamdi Kanu.”
