Nollywood actress Ashabi Simple whose real name is Omobolarinde Akinyanju has made a confession about her relationship with controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola popularly known as Portable, creating a buzz on social media.
In the widely shared video clip, Ashabi revealed that the singer changed her and took advantage of her: “Portable chanced me, he saw me at my younger age and took advantage of it.”

The fourth baby mama of the singer also noted that he has an initial caring nature: “He use to be a caring person. Portable has 10 children at age 32 and mine is 2 out of them.”
This comes amid an intense public turmoil in their relationship. The most recent major issue unfolded in early January 2026, when Ashabi filed a police complaint leading to Portable’s arrest and detention for several days.
According to reports, the incident stemmed from a violent altercation on January 1, 2026, at Portable’s bar in Ogun State. Ashabi accused him of slapping her, assaulting her siblings including punching her brother in the face and pushing her sister, seizing phones, and threatening her family with an axe during a festive confrontation. Additional charges included assault on police officers, causing harm, resisting arrest, and allegedly stealing a Mercedes-Benz E300 valued at N12 million.
Portable was arraigned in an Ota court on a nine-count charge, initially remanded in custody after bail was denied. He was released on January 19, 2026, after meeting bail conditions and denied the allegations, claiming they were fabricated.
Ashabi later broke her silence in videos, detailing the axe threat and physical attacks that forced her to flee, prompting her to involve authorities.
