Priscilla Ojo Reacts to Reports that Her Husband’s Store Was Burnt by Tanzanian Protesters

Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo has debunked alleging that her husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, lost his luxury fashion store during protests after Tanzania’s presidential election.

The reports surfaced on social media after an X user, Bolaji Fesomade wrote: “Reports from Tanzania say singer Juma Jux’s store, worth over $780 million, has been set ablaze and completely destroyed by protesters. The violence erupted after yesterday’s tense presidential election, which sparked chaos and unrest across several parts of the country.”

Reacting to the tweet, Priscilla Ojo clarified that the luxury store wasn’t burnt however, it was only looted.

She wrote: “Looted not burnt.”

eelive.ng understands that Tanzania is facing unrest following its general election on October 29, 2025.

The vote stirred controversy as key opposition parties and candidates were barred from running, prompting citizens to take to the streets in major cities, including Dar es Salaam.

Protesters demanded fair representation and voiced frustration over what they described as a manipulated electoral process.

Security forces responded with tear gas and gunfire to disperse crowds, and authorities imposed a curfew from 6 pm.

Internet services were partially restricted in several areas to limit communication during the unrest.
