Reality TV personality Leo Da Silva has expressed frustration over Nigerians who dictate how others should mourn their loved ones.
A content creator as stated by Leo Da Silva, recently lost his wife, with whom he make content, and was criticised for continuing to post online so soon after her passing.
The creator explained that he needed to stay online to provide for his three children. “This guy makes content with his wife and his wife just died, leaving him with 3 kids. Nigerians are telling him to go offline to mourn. He’s telling them he needs to be online so he can feed his family,” he wrote.

Leo Da Silva questioned the moral authority of those telling others how to grieve, asking, “Who are you to tell anyone what to do after they lose their loved one?” He emphasized that people should be allowed to process their grief in their own way, without judgment from others.
Some of Leo’s followers shared their own experiences of being criticized or judged during their time of grief. A widower recounted how people were insensitive to him after losing his loved one, stating the need for empathy and understanding.
