Veteran Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as RMD, has shared his thoughts on modern relationships, suggesting that financial security has become an important part of what many women look for in a partner.
Speaking in a recent interview, the 65-year-old actor reflected on how dating and relationships have changed over the years.
According to RMD, romantic gestures such as flowers and chocolates may no longer be enough to impress some women, as financial stability has become a bigger consideration.
He said: “These days, it’s not about flowers and chocolate. Ladies like money”.
RMD also recalled a personal experience involving his wife, revealing that he once received a N100 million cheque and chose to give it to her to keep for herself.

He shared the story while highlighting the importance of generosity and financial support within a marriage.
He added: “I once had a 100 million naira cheque and I gave it to my wife to keep for herself.”
