Nigerian singer, Rudeboy of the defunct music group, Psquare has been a mainstay since his split from his twin brother. But following the release of his 2019 hit single, “Reason With Me,” Rude Boy has reached a new, astronomical level of popularity.
According to him, his 2019 hit single garnered the highest views on Youtube in the outgoing year. He made this known in a post via Instagram.
Based around a viral solo video, the song has now accumulated 40 million views on the platform. Unique for its instrumentation and lyrics, Reason With Me is a song where Rudeboy portrayed himself as a broke lover who is begging his girlfriend to stay because “If I no get today, I go get am tomorrow.”
Rudeboy noted that despite not celebrating nudity and featuring anyone on the song, it still amassed such wins. He wrote:
