SAD! Nigerian Man Dies After Penis Enlargement Procedure Goes Wrong

A coroner’s inquest found that Igho ‘Tiny’ Ubiribo, a Nigerian-British businessman, died after undergoing a penis enlargement procedure in Thailand.

Tiny died in March at the age of 43 and was buried in London in May in a gold coffin. Afrobeats singer Davido and socialite Cubana Chief Priest were among those who attended his burial.

According to TMZ, Jean Harkin, the coroner at the Inner West London Coroners’ Court, ruled that he died from a pulmonary embolism caused by the cosmetic procedure.

A pulmonary embolism happens when a blood vessel in the lungs becomes suddenly blocked.

While visiting Thailand with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, in March, Tiny received injections of 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine into his penis at an unnamed clinic.

After the procedure, Tiny went for a massage with his wife. He reportedly started having chest pain and fainted twice. He was taken by ambulance to Sukhumvit Hospital, where he was at first able to answer questions.

Danielle informed the doctors about the filler injections, but Igho lost consciousness before doctors could perform the recommended CT scan.

Doctors performed CPR for more than 100 minutes, but he ultimately died from complications of the procedure on March 6.

A UK postmortem later found cellular material in his lungs matching the hyaluronic acid used in the injection, leading to the pulmonary embolism ruling.

Ubiribo was declared wanted by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) alongside his wife in 2023. The agency allegedly linked the couple to 32.70 kilograms of “loud”, a strong variant of cannabis concealed in cartons of used wears, that was seized at Lagos airport in 2022.

NDLEA claimed that the couple are the arrowheads of an international syndicate operating from Los Angeles, US.
