Nollywood actress and media personality Sarah Martins has publicly reacted to socialite Ashmusy’s recent decision to freeze her eggs, offering both praise to the influencer and enlightening her followers regarding sexual health and safety.
Eelive.ng reported earlier today that Ashmusy, a popular Nigerian content creator, turned heads on social media after documenting her journey into oocytel cryopreservation, commonly known as egg freezing.
Sharing her thoughts alongside a photo of Ashmusy, Martins commended the influencer for “educating women” on the possibilities of modern science. However, she pointed out to her fans a potential misconception that reproductive planning is synonymous with disease prevention.
“Dear Ash Musy, thank you for educating the women on egg freezing… But pls remind them that freezing their eggs from getting unwanted pregnancy doesn’t prevent them from getting infected with HIV AIDS and other diseases,” She wrote.

The actress further emphasised that while egg freezing is an excellent alternative to having “unplanned children,” it does not serve as a shield against Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). She urged her audience, whom she affectionately referred to as “my queens,” to remain vigilant and continue using protection during sexual encounters.
