RobynRihanna Fenty, Barbadian singer and entrepreneur, has come under attack from the Muslim community for using a song featuring sacred Islamic texts as a soundtrack for her latest lingerie show.

The drama had started when a video which showed model’s donned in the singer’s provocative Savage x Fenty lingerie dancing to Doom, a song which samples vocals of a Hadith being read in Arabic, during her fashion show which premiered on Amazon Prime on Friday.

The Hadith refers to the collected traditions of the Prophet Muhammad, based on his sayings and actions.

A segment of Muslims on Twitter, however, rose to slam the singer and accused her of disrespecting their religion. They also demanded an apology from her.

Here is what some Muslims had to say “Rihanna is responsible for this even if she didn’t choose the music. she hired her team and she must’ve heard the songs beforehand and just because she’s rihanna doesn’t give her a free pass to disrespect a religion,” a twitter user wrote.

“Rihanna is messed up for using a song with a Hadith in it to play at her LINGERIE show. What is up with artists using Islam as an aesthetic?? Have some respect,” another user tweeted.

Rihanna who launched her cosmetics brand on September 8, 2017 is yet to respond to the allegation.
