Dayo Amusa, the Nollywood actress is taking action against a content creator who falsely claimed she’s HIV positive.
Amusa had previously shared her negative HIV test results to encourage fans to get tested. She’s now vowing to hold the content creator accountable, citing the harm caused to her reputation and loved ones.

Amusa questions the responsibility of content creators in spreading unverified information, emphasizing the importance of fact-checking. “A few years ago, I did an HIV test, which came out negative, and I posted it to encourage my fans to get theirs done,” she recalls. “Some days ago, a content creator posted it on his page that I am HIV positive. By now, he knows what he is going through because I will not let this slide.”
The actress is determined to set an example using this incident to teach others a lesson about the consequences of spreading false information. “I have families and friends who read all these lies,” she notes. “He will be my scapegoat and serve as a lesson to others. I am not HIV positive.”
