The ongoing federal sex-trafficking trial of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs take a dramatic turn as explicit text messages between Combs and singer Cassie Ventura is revealed in court.
The messages, dating back to 2009, showed enthusiastic and consensual exchanges about group sex acts, contradicting Ventura’s claims of coercion. Ventura, the prosecution’s star witness, read the messages aloud in a subdued tone, describing her relationship with Combs as emotionally abusive and isolating.

In one message, Ventura wrote, “I’m always ready to freak off LOLOL,” to which Combs replied, “You tell me the day. You choose. Name the day.” Another exchange showed Combs writing, “I can’t wait to watch you,” and Ventura responding, “Me too. I just want it to be uncontrollable.”
Combs’ attorneys highlighted the messages as evidence that Ventura participated willingly, challenging her claims of coercion. Ventura had previously testified that she told Combs she enjoyed the encounters only to maintain a connection with him. “I was just in love and wanted to make him happy,” she said. “I hated freak offs. I felt worthless, disgusting, and humiliated afterward.” Despite the defense’s presentation of the texts, Ventura maintained that her participation was never truly voluntary.
The trial continues, with Combs facing multiple charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking, which could result in life imprisonment if convicted.
