She Doesn’t Deserve to be in Prison – Actress Ogala Begs Mercy Johnson Over Angela Okorie’s Imprisonment

Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has taken to social media to ask her colleague Mercy Johnson to help release Angela Okorie, who is currently facing legal trouble.

As earlier reported by eelive.ng, Angela Okorie was arrested by the Nigeria Police Force Cybercrime Centre for an alleged cybercrime case connected to Mercy Johnson.

Filmmaker Seun Oloketuyi shared on Instagram that Angela Okorie was taken from her home in Lagos.

After her arrest, Okorie was taken to Yaba Panti and spent the night there since there were no available flights to Abuja.

Reports state that she was put on an early morning flight to Abuja, where she appeared in court for the case involving Mercy Johnson.

The court ordered her to stay in Suleja Prison until the next hearing, when bail will be considered.

Ogala, who has recently spoken out against Pastor Chris Okafor, asked Johnson to resolve the case outside of court.

Ogala acknowledged that Okorie made mistakes but said she should not be in prison.

She said: “Mercy, Angela doesn’t deserve to be in prison no matter what she has done. I beg you, even if it is a remand that they gave her, please call for the case to come back, let them give her bail. I know what she did was wrong but I am begging you Mercy. You are a good person.”
