Fatai Adetayo, veteran Nollywood actor, popularly known as Lalude, has shared details of a personal disappointment involving celebrated actress Sola Sobowale.
In a recent podcast interview, Lalude recounted an incident at a show hosted by Olayemi Olayinka, where he said Sola was present but deliberately avoided acknowledging him, despite being aware of his presence.

“She did something that pained me,” Lalude said. “I was at Olayemi Olayinka’s event when I heard that Sola Sobowale was also around. She knew I was there but didn’t come to greet me. She’s not older than me, and we go way back.”

The seasoned actor recalled how Sobowale was introduced to him during the early days of her career. “Back then, during Uncle Jide Kosoko’s stage play Ogun Awoyaya at the National Theatre, Ngozi brought her to me. She was just starting out in the industry.”

Lalude said he was taken aback by the actress’s behavior, especially given their shared history in the film industry. “Regardless of the fact that she now lives abroad, she’s not so rich that she should forget her roots. We were all with Yinka, and she got on stage and left without a word. That’s the part that hurt me the most.”
The revelation has sparked conversations online, with fans reacting to the apparent rift between the two respected Nollywood veterans.
