The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has lifted the suspension imposed on actress Shirley Igwe following a thorough review of the disciplinary actions taken against her.
The suspension was related to a violent incident reported on a Lagos movie set on July 19, 2025.

According to the Guild’s National President, Dr. Ejezie Emeka Rollas, the National Executive Council (NEC) resolved to reinstate Igwe after a comprehensive evaluation of the case, upholding the principles of fair hearing and justice. The Guild confirmed that Igwe is cleared to resume all filming and guild-related activities effective October 19, 2025.
The AGN welcomed Igwe back, urging her to maintain emotional composure, exercise restraint, and uphold professional ethics in all engagements. The Guild expects renewed discipline and cooperation from Igwe as she returns to active participation within the creative community.
