There was confusion in the Big Brother Naija Season 10 house on Monday afternoon after housemates Dede and Joanna were seemingly evicted in a shocking twist that later turned out to be a prank.
The drama started when the famous red telephone rang inside the house, a symbol known for Big Brother’s unexpected instructions.
Dede quickly picked the call and was surprised to hear the voice of the show host, Ebuka, on the other end. Ebuka told her she had only 10 seconds to choose another housemate to share a surprise with.
Without wasting time, Dede mentioned Joanna’s name. Shortly after, both of them were told to pack their bags and leave the house immediately.
Other housemates were thrown into shock while viewers also believed the pair had truly been evicted from the show.
But in a sudden turn, it was later revealed that Dede and Joanna were not out of the game. Instead, they were moved into a secret room where they will stay until further instructions from Big Brother.
The secret room is part of the game plan in this season, giving Big Brother the chance to watch how housemates react when they believe some of their colleagues have been sent out.
