Veteran Nigerian singer, Aituaje Aina Vivian Ebele Iruobe, known professionally as Waje, has disclosed that she did not receive any dime from defunct music duo P-Square’s 2007 hit song ‘Do Me’.
eelive.ng understands that the singer while speaking on the HonestBunch Podcast with Daddy Freeze revealed that she was the female voice behind the music.
Speaking, the 45-year-old said, “I didn’t earn a dime from P-Square’s ‘Do Me’.”

The singer who delivered the popular chorus, explained that she was not officially credited or featured by name on the song.
“Imagine being in Onitsha market and you start telling people, that’s my voice every time ‘Do Me’ is played and they are looking at you like who are you. They didn’t believe me,” she said.
Waje gained attention in the mid-2000s after her vocal rendition on ‘Do Me’ became a nationwide anthem. However, she has previously said she was not included in the video shoot for the song because she did not have a passport at the time.
