The manager of Nigerian singer Simi has firmly dismissed the viral online rumours suggesting that she and her husband, Adekunle Gold, are heading for separation or divorce.
In a recent statement, Simi’s manager, Vincent, described the claims as entirely false and rooted in a fabricated document that went viral on social media.
As reported by eelive.ng, a purported divorce petition, allegedly filed by Adekunle Gold, surfaced online days ago. The document, dated February 28, 2026, claimed the couple’s marriage had “broken down” due to alleged emotional, financial, and professional control by Simi, with accusations that she “orders him around”.

Some reports even quoted Gold as saying he “can’t marry a woman that controls me all over my life.” However, the manager clarified that the petition is fake.
Simi and Adekunle Gold, who met as collaborators before tying the knot in 2019, have long been celebrated as one of Nigeria’s most adored power couples, often sharing glimpses of their family life, including their daughter and have welcomed a set of twins to the family.
The manager urged fans to disregard unverified gossip and focus on the artists’ music and positive contributions.
