Simi See Trouble: Netizens Drag ‘Joromi’ Crooner as Old Tweets Resurface on Social Media

In the last 24 hours, Nigerian recording artiste, Simisola Kosoko, who is simply known as Simi, has come under fire on the social media platform, X, following a series of tweets that she made a couple of years ago.

The singer-songwriter became a number one public enemy following her outburst on rape allegations claimed by a young lady known as Abigail Nsuka, popularly known as Mirabel. She stated that the young lady shouldn’t be arrested for falsely claiming to be raped. The singer-songwriter has since come out to apologize for her stance on the allegations.

Following Simi’s tweet on Saturday, “Hunger is a leveler,” the singer-songwriter who is married to another musician, Adekunle Gold once again infuriated her followers and other netizens on X. She was dragged expressing admiration for celebrities such as American rapper J.Cole, British actor Idris Elba and also her colleague in the Nigerian music industry, Falz.

It is believed that some of her controversial tweets emerged while herself and Adekunle Gold were still dating.
