
Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola Badmus better known as Portable has regained his freedom after spending a week in police custody.
As earlier reported by eelive.ng, the ”Zazu” crooner was arraigned before a court in Ota, Ogun State, on nine criminal charges. These include assault, causing harm, and resisting arrest.
The federal high court in Ota, Ogun State thereafter denied him bail after the police officer involved in the case was absent.

However, in the footage that surfaced on social media, Portable is seen surrounded by his associates, who celebrated his return and repeatedly welcomed him back.
During the moment, the singer jokingly declared that his new name is “Innocenty”.

In an Instagram post, Baby Luv, Portable’s manager, shared a photo of the singer with his first wife Bewaji while appreciating her for standing by him during his legal troubles.
“All glory to God. Grace spoke, mercy prevailed. #Freedom. She stayed when it was hardest. God honoured her faith #Thankful,” she wrote.
